Welcome to Eluent Software's
home page! We make Eluent Tools, a collection of file and folder
tools for Microsoft Windows (95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP). Eluent Tools
includes:
- Eluent Replace, an interactive,
GUI-based, multi-file,
multi-pattern search and replace
program that uses Perl regular expressions and supports Perl
scripting.
- Eluent Find, a file contents searcher that
supports a variety of regular
expression dialects (grep, egrep, fgrep, Perl) and presents search results in a 3-pane window,
which allows you to view the contents of the matched files and
navigate from match to match.
- Eluent Dir, a flexible file finder based
on Path
Plans.
- Eluent Attrib, a program for changing
file and folder attributes, including the Windows NT/2000/XP Compressed
and Windows 2000/XP Encrypted attributes.
- Eluent EOL, a program for converting text
files to and from DOS/Windows, Macintosh, and Unix formats.
- Eluent Tab, a program for converting
between tabs and spaces in text files.
- Eluent Touch, a program which modifies file
and folder timestamps.
The programs making up Eluent Tools were designed with several goals in mind:
- They must offer a consistent, powerful graphical interface that's
easy to use from the Windows Start Menu and Windows Explorer context
menus.
- They must run well as non-interactive command line tools, also
known as console programs.
- They must run well as Microsoft Visual C++ tools and provide access to files
and projects currently open in Visual C++. In particular, Eluent
Replace provides Visual C++ with powerful Replace in Files
capabilities.
